MEMBERSHIP DUES

       You should have noticed the increase in dues on your paycheck dated September 9, 2009. ESEA dues only increase whenever there has been a raise in wages the previous year. In July, 2008, ESEA members had a wage increase of four (4) % from the Legislature that was negotiated into our contract. This means ESEA members saw an increase one year later (2009) of four (4) % in their dues. This amounts to $19.18 for full-time dues and $9.85 for part-time dues. Full-time hours are 5.0-8.0 hours per day while part-time hours are 4.1-4.9 hours per day. ESEA did not attempt to collect the incorrectly posted amount by CCSD from the last paycheck received on September 9, 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused members. The new dues amounts began with the September 23, 2009 paycheck and will continue for this school year (09-2010).        As a reminder, in accordance with our Negotiated Agreement between ESEA and CCSD, members may drop their membership during the timeframe of July 1-15 of each contracted year. Our fiscal year runs from September 1 to August 31 each year. As always, drops may ONLY be received in written form through postal mail and in person.
