ANOTHER WIN FOR ESEA (9.15.21)

0

Since the beginning of the school year, ESEA has been working to ensure all education support professionals (ESPs) are safe in our school reopening. This included complying with the mandatory testing requirements set forth by the Clark County School District (CCSD).

Our ESPs began the year having to test on their own time and at their own expense. ESEA swiftly demanded to bargain with the District. We are pleased that an agreement has now been reached with CCSD as to compensation for mileage and pay so employees can comply with the mandatory requirement. This includes being reimbursed for prior time spent getting tested.

This represents another solid win on behalf of Education Support Professionals, and we wanted to share the news with you. The Agreement will be voted on by the CCSD Board of School Trustees at the Regular Board Meeting scheduled for September 23, 2021.
